Faisalabad has a strong as well as the traditional industrial based city. However, on the corporate front this base remains untapped and unstructured in certain ways. This development in further improving the institutions of the corporate structure in the heart of textile for further economics. This will further activate the valuable investment from local investor. The development also focused to educate the local populace and provide them a new opening of investment in securities market.
With aim of widening the investor accessibility, Lahore stock exchange inaugurated their branch in Faisalabad named as Faisalabad trading floor. The inauguration was made by Muhammad Mian Soomro (Chairman Senate) on November 24, 2004. The other prestigious participants were Syed Asim Zafar (Ex-Chairman LSE), Hamid.M.Imtiazi (Managing Director LSE), Shahid Ghaffar (Ex-Commissioner SECP), and Mian Mohammad Idrees (Ex-President Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Faisalabad).
The 32 Lahore -based members of the bourse are setting up their offices at the Faisalabad Trading Floor premises.
